Why am I here? To educate, empower and inspire people to lead safe, healthy, environmentally responsible lives through my work as an Author/Illustrator, Environmental Educator, and Speaker. I believe we can make the world a better place and address many of the environmental issues we face today by making simple changes to our everyday lives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Background

    Alexandra Gnoske is an Environmental Expert. She has a degree in Wildlife Biology and JD in Environmental Law. She was the Founder and President of RECYCLE ME, an organic cotton clothing company (2008-2012).

    In 2010 Alexandra published “Loui Saves the Earth,” a simple and inspiring children’s book she wrote and illustrated to show that no matter how small you are you can make a big difference for the planet.

    Alexandra created “How to Be a Superhero for Planet Earth,” a workshop for kids that teaches them how their everyday actions impact the environment. She has taught the workshop around Chicagoland, including at REI,The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and local elementary schools.

    Alexandra is currently an Organizing Member of Chicago Women in Green (WIG) and writes their newsletter. She is also working on a series of ‘Loui’ books.
